Mike is a seasoned practitioner and proven academic in the fields of business strategy and growth, organisational resilience, security and crisis management, and learning and development. Holding a professional doctorate in business administration and a master’s in security risk management; he is currently embarked on a second doctorate focused on the security sector.
Mike is an honorary Portsmouth University DSyRM lecturer and has advised governments, commercial companies and humanitarian organisations across 75 countries on resilience, integration, optimisation, knowledge production and complex operational strategies. He is a twice published author (Wiley and Sons), writes for academic journals and professional magazines, and is a keynote speaker for the SI, AIA, NDIA, ESC, Humentum, the UN, RHA, GISF, DCJS, and ASIS.
Mike has held various operational and business development vice president positions in major international security companies and was the founder and CEO of Risk and Strategic Management, Corp (RSM). Mike also established and transitioned leadership of Sigma7 University and was the Sigma7 Chief Revenue Officer and then Chief Resilience Officer.
